IPMI Has Two Award Programs

Premier Awards Recognize Career Achievement

 IPMI bestows three Premier Awards annually


            Premier Awards  

 
IPMI Carol Tyler Award
The IPMI Carol Tyler Award recognizes the achievement of a woman in the field of

precious metals be it industry or academia,

or it can be presented to a student in precious metals research.

IPMI Henry J. Albert Award
The IPMI Henry J. Albert Award sponsored by BASF Corporation  recognizes

and encourages outstanding theoretical and

experimental contributions to the science and technology of precious metals.

IPMI Jun-ichiro Tanaka Award
The Junichiro Tanaka Award Distinguished Achievement Award sponsored by

The Tanaka Memorial Foundation recognizes

important career contributions to the advancement

of the precious metals industry, be it technical, economic or management.

Student Awards

Student Awards Recognize Graduate Students

in Precious Metal Research 

IPMI Student Award

Up to three graduate precious metal students can win this

 most prestigious of student awards.

 
IPMI Corporate Sponsored Student Awards
IPMI Colt Refining Student Award
IPMI Colt Refining Student Award recognizes a graduate student precious metals research

or can be awarded to a student in precious metals economics.

IPMI Graduate Student Award
This award recognizes precious metals research for the graduate student.

IPMI Bright Futures Award
The IPMI Bright Futures Award sponsored by the Gero Family Trust will be awarded

to a graduate student of precious metals research.

IPMI Metalor Technologies Graduate Student Award
The IPMI Metalor Technologies Graduate Student Award recognizes

and encourages

the graduate student of precious metal research.

This Award can also come with an opportunity

of a summer internship at one of Metalor's global facilities.


IPMI Johnson Matthey Student Award
The IPMI Johnson Matthey Student Award recognizes and awards the

graduate student of precious metal research.



IPMI Sabin Metal Corp. Ron Bleggi Student Award
The IPMI Sabin Metal Student Award recognizes and awards a graduate student

of precious metal research or,

a graduate student in the area of precious metal economics.

 

IPMI George Benvegno Sr  Memorial Student Award

This award is Sponsored by Colonial Metals and Ames Goldsmith and recognizes

and awards a graduate student research in the area of precious metals.


IPMI Metro New York Chapter Award
The IPMI Metro New York Chapter Student Award recognizes and awards the

graduate student of precious metal research.

IPMI Richard Rubin Memorial Scholarship Award
This award recognizes achievement in precious metals research by a graduate student.

Additionally, IPMI annually presents the Faculty Advisor Award

This award is bestowed to one faculty advisor each year. The award is selected by

the Awards Committee from nominating student advisors in the award year.

Nominations are not accepted for this award.

Important Information and dates:

Nominations for the above awards close January 31 in the year the award will be given. All Awards will be presented at the IPMI Annual Conference in June for whom registration is complimentary. The number of student awards is decided in June each year by the IPMI Board of Directors for the next year. Selection of the recipients is the responsibility of the

IPMI awards committee and made public in early April of the award year.
