The International Precious Metals Educational and Scientific Foundation (The Foundation) is part of the IPMI whose 600+ members include corporations, universities and individuals involved in every aspect of the precious metals industry. Through the Foundation, we carry on our long-standing charitable mission of providing student awards, honoring institutional leadership, promoting science and technology, and attracting a new generation of trained professionals.

The Foundation hosts many technical sessions at our Annual Conference, Winter Meeting and Seminars throughout the year. The Foundation supports the educational activities of the following committees:

Who We Are

The IPMI Scientific and Educational Foundation, Inc. is the charitable, educational, and scientific affiliate of the International Precious Metals Institute, Inc. IPMI is the largest and best-known organization of producers, refiners, fabricators, scientists, users, financial institutions, merchants, private and public sector groups, and the general precious metals community. The organization seeks and promotes the efficient and environmentally sound use, reuse, and recycling of precious metals from both primary and secondary resources. The IPMI Scientific and Educational Foundation conducts educational meetings, offers courses and serves as primary resource for information for the public, industry, and government agencies worldwide. It is headquartered in the USA with several Chapters in North America and Europe.
